Hey Dripping Springs! Easter weekend is coming in hot, and if your group text is already full of “what are we doing and when do we need to leave?”… same. The bluebonnets are doing their thing, the baskets are coming out of storage, and the local Easter calendar is absolutely packed.
If you have been around the Hill Country for a minute, you know we don’t do anything halfway. We like our trucks big, our sunsets long, and apparently… our Easter egg hunts involve aviation.
I am so excited to talk about one of my absolute favorite local traditions and a few other can’t-miss happenings from the latest Weekly Drip Season 7 Episode 7 recap. The 4th Annual Eggstravaganza is coming back to Dripping Springs Ranch Park (DSRP) this Saturday, April 4, 2026, and yes, there are two helicopter drops this year to help with the chaos. Bless whoever made that call.
The Main Event: It’s Raining Eggs!
The highlight of the day is definitely the Helicopter Egg Drops. Imagine the look on your kids’ faces when they hear those rotors spinning and see a chopper hover over the field! They will be dropping over 18,000 eggs this year. Yes, you read that right… 18,000!
There are two scheduled drops this year to help with the chaos and spread everybody out a little better:
- First Drop: 12:00 PM
- Second Drop: 3:00 PM
The egg drops happen in the lower field area, while the rest of the party is happening up at the main event center. It is such a blast to watch the sky rain plastic treasure. It’s loud, it’s exciting, and it’s pure Dripping Springs energy.

All Day Fun at Dripping Springs Ranch Park
The gates open at 10:00 AM and the fun keeps rolling until 4:00 PM. Even if you aren’t there specifically for the helicopter, there is so much to do. We are talking about:
- Photos with the Easter Bunny: Get those cute spring outfits ready!
- Hayrides: A classic Hill Country way to see the beautiful parks in dripping springs tx.
- Bounce Houses: Let the kids burn off all that pre-candy energy.
- Face Painting: Because no festival is complete without a few tiger faces and butterfly wings running around.
- Local Vendors: I love seeing our local small businesses showing off their crafts and treats.
Tickets are only $10 per person, and the tiny ones (children under 2) are totally free. Tickets are a must for this one, especially if you are trying to time your day around one of the two drops. I highly recommend buying your tickets online ahead of time. The line can get a bit long at the gate, and you do not want to be stuck in line when the helicopter starts making its approach.
More Easter Weekend Events Worth Adding to the Group Chat
If your family likes to make a whole day or whole weekend out of Easter fun, here are a few more events from the Weekly Drip rundown that are worth a look.
Raphael Springs Spiritual Saturday
Raphael Springs is hosting Spiritual Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and it sounds like a really sweet family-friendly event if you want something a little more meaningful mixed in with the fun. Speaker Kyle Cease will be there, there will be arts and crafts, and it is just a $25 suggested family donation to attend.
Also… Ashley will be there serving coffee, which feels like a very solid reason to swing by if you ask me.
Austin Zoo Egg Hunt
If you are up for a little drive, the Austin Zoo is hosting an Egg Hunt at 8:45 AM for kids ages 2 to 12, and the ticket includes zoo entry, which is a pretty strong value if your kids want to chase eggs and then go say hi to the animals. That one is a fun early-morning option before you head back toward Dripping Springs for round two of Easter activities.
Hill Country Bible Church at Ma Maison
Hill Country Bible Church Dripping Springs is holding an Easter service at Ma Maison at 10:00 AM, with breakfast starting at 9:30 AM. If you have ever been to Ma Maison, you already know it is gorgeous. If you have not, just trust me… it is one of those spots where you will absolutely end up taking family photos because the backdrop is too pretty to waste.
Community Worship at Founders Park
There is also a community worship gathering at Founders Park where different churches come together, and I love that. It is one of those very Dripping Springs moments that reminds you why this town feels so connected. Different congregations, one shared morning, everybody showing up together in one of the most loved community spaces in town.
Why We Love Our Community
This whole Easter lineup is exactly why living in dripping springs neighborhoods is so special. You can do the giant helicopter egg drop, a meaningful family event at Raphael Springs, a beautiful church service at Ma Maison, or community worship at the park… all while running into people you know every five minutes.
As a dripping springs real estate agent, I spend a lot of time talking about houses, but what I’m really selling is this lifestyle. It’s the feeling of knowing your neighbors at the grocery store and seeing your kids’ classmates at the park. Speaking of being an agent… I’m incredibly proud to share that I sold more houses than anyone else in the Dripping Springs Independent School District in 2025. It is such an honor to be the number one realtor in the area, helping families find their perfect slice of the Hill Country.

Spotlight on Dripping Springs High School Neighborhoods
If you are thinking about moving here to be closer to all this action, you might be wondering which neighborhood is right for you. Since DSRP is such a hub for our community, let’s look at some of the amazing neighborhoods that feed into Dripping Springs High School!
Headwaters
This is a master-planned beauty! If you love modern farmhouse vibes and incredible views, Headwaters is for you. They have miles of trails, a gorgeous “Hub” community center, and some of the best sunset views in the county. It is just a quick drive down Highway 290 to get to the Ranch Park for the Eggstravaganza!
Belterra
Belterra is one of the most established and popular dripping springs neighborhoods. It’s practically a city unto itself with the Belterra Village shopping center right at the front. The community spirit here is huge… they have their own swim team, massive food truck nights, and constant events for families.
Caliterra
If you want to be close to Onion Creek, Caliterra is the spot. It feels a bit more “tucked away” in nature but still has all the luxury amenities you could want. It’s perfect for families who want a little more peace and quiet while still being minutes from downtown Dripping Springs.
Highpointe
This gated community is known for its rolling hills and spacious homes. It has multiple pools, tennis courts, and a gym. It is a fantastic spot for families who want a sense of security and a lot of neighborhood amenities.
Founders Ridge
Want to be able to walk or take a quick golf cart ride into the heart of town? Founders Ridge is located right near the historic district. It’s a smaller, boutique neighborhood that puts you right in the middle of everything our town has to offer.
Howard Ranch
For those who love the “Old Texas” feel with high-end luxury, Howard Ranch is stunning. With its iconic covered bridge and classic architecture, it feels like stepping back in time but with all the modern comforts.

Come Say Hi!
I’ll be out and about this weekend enjoying the festivities, and yes, I’ll be at Raphael Springs serving coffee during Spiritual Saturday. If you see me there, at the Ranch Park, or bouncing around any of these Easter events, please come say hi. I love meeting neighbors and hearing about what you love most about our town.
Whether you are hunting for 18,000 eggs or hunting for your dream home, I am here to help. Being one of the best realtors in dripping springs tx means more than just signs in yards… it means being part of the fabric of this community.

If you have questions about the local market or want to know which neighborhood would be the best fit for your family, don’t hesitate to reach out. The market is moving fast, and you want a dripping springs real estate agent who knows these streets, these events, and these parks inside and out.

Ashley-Approved Easter Tips
Before you go full Easter Bunny mode, here are a few fun tips straight from the Weekly Drip conversation:
- Put $2 bills in some eggs. Kids think they hit the lottery, and honestly… they kind of did.
- Organic Unreal candy is a solid pick if you want to avoid the ultra-neon sugar bomb situation.
- Golden rule: do not hide the hard-boiled eggs unless you want to smell them for weeks. Learn from the veterans on this one.
And if you are hosting brunch, may I present the sleeper hit of the weekend…
The Egg Bar
Do an Egg Bar with deviled eggs and let people top them themselves. Set out things like:
- bacon grease
- sriracha
- smoked paprika
It is weirdly genius, a little chaotic, and very on-brand for an Easter gathering in the Hill Country.
Let’s Get Ready to Hop!
Get those baskets ready, Dripping Springs! It is going to be a beautiful Saturday. Pack the sunscreen, pack the camera, and maybe pack a change of clothes for the kids if you are trying to hit more than one stop.
If you want to find a home closer to the action so you never miss a helicopter drop again, reach out to your favorite Dripping Springs real estate agent, that’s me, Ashley Tullis. You can browse all Dripping Springs homes for sale right here on my site.
