Hey Dripping Springs!
If you caught The Weekly Drip Season 7, Episode 2 this week, you know Amber and I went DEEP on the best coffee in Dripping Springs. And honestly? For a town this size, we are absolutely spoiled with incredible caffeination stations!
Every Tuesday at 2:00, Amber Pierce and I hang out live to talk all things Dripping Springs. This week’s topic hit close to my heart (and my daily routine) because good coffee is non-negotiable. Whether you’re fueling up before a showing, need a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or you’re just tired of the same old drive-through situation, this guide is for you.
As someone who sold more homes in the Dripping Springs Independent School District than any other agent in 2025, I spend A LOT of time on the road between properties. Trust me when I say I’ve done the research on where to find the best coffee and breakfast in this town!

The Ashley Tullis Life Hack for Ordering
Before we dive into my favorites, here’s our number one tip: ask the staff what THEIR favorite drink is. Seriously! The people making your coffee have tried everything on the menu. They know what’s fire and what’s just… fine. I’ve discovered some of my absolute favorite drinks this way, and it works at pretty much any local spot.
The Best Coffee & Breakfast Spots in Dripping Springs
Abby Jane Bakeshop: The Lavender Latte That Changed Everything
Okay, so Abby Jane Bakeshop isn’t technically a coffee shop. It’s a bakery. BUT their lavender latte with a pump of vanilla, lightly sweetened and iced? Game changer.
I’m not usually a lavender latte person, but theirs hits different. And when you pair it with their meat quiche (especially the chorizo and potato), you’ve got yourself a perfect morning. They rotate their quiche flavors daily, so there’s always something new to try. Fun fact: Amber went there for her birthday specifically for that quiche. That’s how good it is!
Best for: Special breakfast treat, grabbing pastries for an open house
Nectarine: The Health-Conscious Coffee Stop
If you want to feel GOOD about what you’re putting in your body, Nectarine is your spot. Their loaded Chaguccino is like rocket fuel for your brain. It’s got coffee, adaptogens, mushroom blend, cocoa powder, and a little cayenne pepper for kick.
And here’s the thing that makes Nectarine incredible for anyone with dietary restrictions: all their pastries are gluten-free! Their almond croissant is legitimately one of the best I’ve ever had. Not “good for gluten-free.” Just GOOD, period.
Best for: Health-focused breakfast, gluten-free options, adaptogens and functional beverages

Sonder Coffee: The Craft Espresso Champion
Sonder Coffee has two locations (one in Driftwood off Fitzhugh and one in the new Calatera development), and both are absolutely crushing it. Their seasonal menu game is strong, and their espresso? Chef’s kiss.
The Salty Bee is my go-to, and if you haven’t tried the Teddy Graham drink yet, DO IT. I don’t want to know the nutritional content. I just want to enjoy the fact that it tastes exactly like a Teddy Graham cookie in beverage form.
Here’s a bonus insider tip: El Botenipsey food truck is at Sonder, and their breakfast tacos are incredible. Grab a Salty Bee and a taco, and you’re set.
Best for: Craft espresso, seasonal specialty drinks, breakfast tacos
Alchemy Juice Bar & Cafe: The Blue Spirulina Situation
When you need something that’s NOT coffee, Alchemy has you covered. Their cosmic peppermint latte with blue spirulina is Instagram-worthy AND delicious. It’s minty, it’s pretty, and it pairs perfectly with their gluten-free avocado toast (which might be the best gluten-free avocado toast in town, fight me).
Best for: Non-coffee drinks, gluten-free avocado toast, superfood beverages
Lucky Lab Coffee: The Chai Brew Discovery
Lucky Lab opened on the corner of Highway 12 and Fitzhugh, and I’m SO glad they did. A friend introduced me to their chai brew, which is a magical combination of chai tea and cold brew coffee. It’s spicy, it’s caffeinated, and it’s the perfect double-kick you need on a busy morning.
Their gluten-free sprinkle cookie is the perfect sweet companion. Cookie for breakfast? Absolutely yes.
Best for: Unique chai-coffee hybrids, gluten-free treats, corner location convenience

Mazama Coffee Co: The OG Dripping Springs Coffee Experience
You can’t talk about coffee in Dripping Springs without talking about Mazama. This is THE hometown staple. Consistent, quality, community-focused, and they nail it every single time.
Get “the chai” (not “a chai,” THE chai). You’ll understand when you taste it. Their gluten-free muffins are phenomenal, and there’s actually a cool connection here: the baker’s sister is Lisa Hargrave, who owns Clean Home Crew! Small town connections for the win.
Best for: First-time visitors, consistent quality, community atmosphere, the chai
Fairlane Coffee & Cocktails: Airport Rules Apply
Fairlane operates on airport rules, which means coffee by day, cocktails by night, or honestly whatever you want whenever you want. Their chai is made in-house by Cass, and it’s fire.
This is my favorite spot for versatility. Need coffee at 8am? They’ve got you. Want a latte at 8pm? Also available. Pretty much everything they make is incredible.
Best for: All-day coffee, nightcap situation, Cass’s homemade chai, flexible hours
JP8 Coffee Trailer: Best Grab & Go
Over in the Headwaters amenity center, you’ll find JP8. Quick, quality coffee from a trailer. The owner, Shauna, is in my book club, so I’m extra partial, but honestly, it’s just really good coffee that’s fast when you’re in a hurry.
Best for: Quick coffee runs, Headwaters residents, supporting local small business

Milk and Honey Coffee: The Rainwater Coffee Experiment
I haven’t personally tried Milk and Honey Coffee yet (it’s new, next to Mercer Street Tap Room), but I’m hearing amazing things about their honey latte. They brew their coffee with rainwater, which is super interesting from a flavor profile perspective. That’s next on my list!
Best for: Honey lattes, unique brewing methods, new spot to explore
Rolling in Thyme & Dough: Best Coffee with Breakfast
I can’t believe this wasn’t on Amber’s list, but Rolling in Thyme & Dough absolutely deserves a shout-out. When you want a full breakfast experience WITH great coffee, this is the move. Their breakfast menu is extensive, the atmosphere is cozy, and it’s the perfect spot for a leisurely morning.
Best for: Full breakfast service, brunch vibes, comprehensive menu
